Global Schedule Reliability drops to 62.6% in June 2026

Sea-Intelligence has published issue 179 of the Global Liner Performance (GLP) report, with schedule reliability figures up to and including June 2026. As the 120-page report is quite comprehensive and covers schedule reliability across 34 different trade lanes and 60+ carriers, this press release will only cover highlights from the full report.

Schedule reliability dropped M/M in June 2026 by ‑1.9 percentage points to 62.6%, which is still the second‑highest reliability figure for the year. On a Y/Y level, schedule reliability was lower by ‑4.7 percentage points. Despite declining schedule reliability, the average delay for LATE vessel arrivals improved, decreasing M/M by ‑0.34 days to 5.31 days, although it is still the third-highest figure for this month. On a Y/Y level, the June 2026 figure was 0.78 days higher.

Maersk was the most reliable top-13 carrier in June 2026 with schedule reliability of 77.1%. Hapag‑Lloyd followed with 75.6%, and MSC with 72.1%; they were the only three carriers with schedule reliability over 70%. CMA CGM was the only carrier in the 60-70% range, while eight of the remaining nine carriers were in the 50-60% range. Wan Hai was the least reliable carrier in June 2026 with schedule reliability of 35.6%. Only two carriers recorded a M/M improvement in schedule reliability in June 2026, with ZIM recording the largest increase of 0.8 percentage points. Coincidentally, only two carriers also recorded a Y/Y improvement in June 2026, with MSC recording the largest increase of 5.0 percentage points.

In May/June 2026 Gemini was the most reliable carrier alliance with schedule reliability of 93.4%, followed by MSC with 80.7%, and Ocean Alliance with 67.6%. Premier Alliance was the least reliable carrier alliance with 53.6%.
